I performed this piece last night at my first poetry slam. The other artists were exceptional, simply moving, but I'm alright too ;)

deep thinker

more analytical than critical

way more conceptual, a little less than a miracle

please consider me a rebel because I am far from a criminal

folks ask me if I'm religious and I tell them I'm spiritual

peace and love I am the residual

realistic views, prohetic, philosophical never cynical

beauty is innate no need for the digital

monetary gains are eternally minuscule

my being is correlated from the metaphysical to this verbal material

in doing so

I keep it old school and original, classic, cheerios

now you folks know how the story goes
